AIM: Master’s (Explore)
AIM Master's (Explore) offers Master’s applicants one-to-one support sessions to help them prepare their MPhil application to the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Cambridge.
Applicants will be paired with a Cambridge postgraduate researcher who will act as their coach. Over the course of two online one-to-one support sessions, participants will receive advice and guidance on their postgraduate application, tailored to their needs.
This advice and guidance may include:
- Support with developing a research proposal, for example:
- developing an idea
- considering the feasibility of a research idea
- outlining the requirements of an effective research proposal
- Support with other areas of the MPhil application process, such as submitting your supporting documents or applying for funding
- Information about life as a postgraduate student at Cambridge
AIM: Master’s (Explore) is designed to complement your application preparation, and we therefore encourage you begin considering your options and conducting your own research alongside your online sessions. You will identify the areas in which you would like support from your coach, and sessions will be planned around your interests. Online sessions will take place at a time that is mutually convenient for you and your coach.
Whilst we will do our best to match applicants to a coach from a similar academic discipline, there may be instances in which we are unable to do this, or to offer you a coach at all. This is not necessarily an indication of your suitability for MPhil study at Cambridge.
