The Faculty of Classics at Cambridge is well known for putting the Ancient World on screen. With Mary Beard, Andrew Wallace-Hadrill, and others on the staff, Cambridge Classics academics are some of the most familiar faces on TV documentaries.
Now, the Cambridge Ancient World Video Competition is highlighting the best of a new generation of Classicists in film, featuring entries from teams in Years 9-13, that is aged between 13 or 14 and 19.
After receiving over 60 entries, the Faculty of Classics has created a shortlist of 13 videos, one of which will win up to £500!
The first video to be revealed is a modern reworking of Echo and Narcissus, written by Coral Dalitz and directed by Samuel Herklots, both of Cheney School, Oxford.
