The deadline for the Newton International Fellowships, Newton Mobility Grants and Newton Advanced Fellowships is 15 March 2017

Several funding opportunities for international collaboration were launched by the British Academy in January 2017. Please see the attached document for full details.

Newton International Fellowships: for early career post-doctoral researchers to spend two consecutive years undertaking research and training at a university or research institution in the UK (eligible applicants can apply from any country outside the UK and there are additional Fellowships available for applicants from Newton Fund countries including: Brazil, China, India, Mexico, South Africa and Turkey.)  

Newton Mobility Grants: one-year mobility grants to establish and develop collaborations between researchers in Newton Fund countries and the UK (in the current round applicants can apply from Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam).

Newton Advanced Fellowships: for early to mid-career researchers based in Newton Fund countries to develop their research strengths through training and collaboration with a partner in the UK (in the current round applicants can apply from Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, but please refer to the scheme notes for the each specific country for further information and a full break down of costs).

Cambridge colleagues who are in contact with researchers based at institutions in these countries and who may consider taking on the role of UK partner in an application are encouraged to get in touch with Dr Andrea Salter (acs87@cam.ac.uk) to discuss further.
